Events

Everyone is invited to participate! You don't have to be a good golfer, own a cart, or be a Golf Club member to enjoy these events. You just have to want to have fun!

Meet every Saturday morning for a round of 18 holes played in the dogfight format where eagles, birdies, pars, and bogies are assigned a point value. Show up at 9:00 AM and tee off at 9:30.  Teams are selected randomly.  

 

First Saturday in November through last Saturday in April: Show up @ 9:30 am; tee off at 10:00 am.
First Saturday in May through last Saturday in October: Show up @ 8:30 am; tee off at 9:00 am.

 

Entry fee is $5.00 to play plus (optional) $2.00 closest to the pin holes on par 3's. There is one on the front 9 and one on the back 9. Please bring $5.00 or $7.00 with you as change is hard to make because of the payouts!

 

Playing teams are put together for play, but a blind draw is used to determine teams and scoring at the end of 18 holes. Teams can be 3 or 4 players depending on how many players we have. Scoring per hole will be discussed with new players. Payouts are determined by how many teams are playing. 

 

New players (without an established score of at least three rounds) will be informed of the rules for scoring.

On Sunday afternoons at 1:30 pm, men and women golfers gather at the FWR Clubhouse to play golf with the 19th Hole Group. They play 9 holes of golf and follow that with a social. Tee time is 2:00 pm. Teams are chosen randomly by luck of the draw, or if you prefer, you may play on a team with your spouse. After the round is complete, the non-playing spouses join the golfers at the FWR Clubhouse for snacks, drinks, and fun.

 

If you would like to play in this event, check in at the Pro Shop to pay your trail fees or green fees. Cost to play is $3 per person or $5 per couple, plus your green/trail fees. Bring your golf clubs, a drink, a snack to share, and join in the fun!

 

If you would like to play in any of our events, contact with the Pro Shop (478-988-8200) about times and fees and arrive early enough to be included as a participant. Hope to see you there!

 

 

All golfers are welcome! Meet at Fairway Ridge Clubhouse by 1:30 pm. Play will start at 2:00 pm. Individual couples will be paired together, and there there will be a blind draw for all teams (including couples) to round out teams.

No cart fee. $3.00 per person entry fee.
